The Respirable Silica Dust Competent Person course was designed to give each student the knowledge of specific dangers of unprotected exposure to respirable silica dust in the construction industry, general industry, and in the oil and gas industry, upstream, downstream and offshore. This 4-hour program meets OSHA requirements and provides an understanding of certain general safety information that a competent person should know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties.

Leading construction industry, general industry, and oil and gas operators accept this orientation as it meets their requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, each student is issued a laminated course completion wallet card and is issued a certificate of completion to be included in the company training records. This orientation has become the standard program for the industry and certifies student completion of the course at the Competent Person level as recommended by OSHA 29CFR1926.1153.

Your Safety DepartmentSM trainers are OSHA Authorized Construction Outreach Trainers in good standing with the OSHA Training Institute Education Center. We can provide this training at your location no matter how far away it may be. We strive to make training times and locations flexible allowing all employees to take advantage of their time
